The Importance of Enzymes
What are Enzymes?
Enzymes are the body’s workers. Energized protein molecules that accelerate chemical reactions, they transform minerals, vitamins, hormones, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats into the substances needed to restore, repair, and maintain health and well being. There are three major classes of enzymes.
Metabolic enzymes are responsible for various chemical reactions in the body, like energy production and detoxification. Digestive enzymes are produced by the pancreas and secreted along the gastrointestinal tract to break down food. Food enzymes, which naturally exist in raw food, enable the body to break down and effectively utilize the food. Nature designed each food with sufficient food enzymes to facilitate its digestion. Since temperatures greater than 118 degrees F destroy all of these enzymes, cooked and processed foods are completely devoid. High Vibe’s OmniZimes returns what nature intended.
Why do we need OmniZimes?
According to the Surgeon General, 8 our of the 10 leading causes of death in the United States are related to diet. Digestive problems — from hemorrhoids to colon cancer — are the number one health problem in North America, resulting in more time lost at work, school and play than any other health-related problem. Many of these digestive complaints were rare or nonexistent less than a century ago. Where did we go wrong?
The culprit is the prevalence of foods that are cooked, processed, irradiated, genetically-engineered, chemically-treated, or grown from mineral-depleted soil. Today’s diet — whether standard American diet (SAD), vegetarian, vegan or even raw — is fundamentally lacking in the food enzymes needed for proper digestion. This forces the body’s immune system to contribute digestive enzymes to the digestion process. Nature intended this contribution to be a backup…not a habit. Since the human body uses three metabolic enzymes to produce just one digestive enzymes, chronic abuse of nature’s backup system stresses the pancreas and decreases the body’s ability to maintain a vital state of health.
Enzymes are perhaps our most important nutrients. Without enzymes, we’re dead. In fact, according to Dr. Edward Howell, ground-breaking physician and author of Food Enzymes for Health and Longevity, After we have attained full mature growth, there is a slow and gradual decrease in the enzyme content of our bodies. When the enzyme content becomes so low that metabolism can’t proceed at a proper level, death overtakes us. The best way tot ensure your body gets an adequate amount of enzymes every day is to consume a diet high in raw foods and to consume a high-potency, broad-spectrum digestive enzyme supplement such as OmniZimes.
What will taking OmniZimes do for me?
–Reduces gas, bloating, indigestion, and stomach acidity
–Reduces inflammation
–Reduces tired, lethargic feelings after meals
–Increases immunity by reducing metabolic stress
–Increases energy and alertness
–Encourages complete assimilation, reducing fermentation and putrefaction of undigested foods in the intestine
–Aids in the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, dairy, sugar, and starch, plus foods like nuts, seeds, beans and cabbage
Why is OmniZimes superior?
OmniZimes is fast acting, high quality, easily assimilated and derived from completely plant based sources. Plant-based enzymes are distinctly different from the generally animal-derived digestive products on the market because they supplement what your body should naturally obtain through eating a proper, nature-intended, enzyme-rich diet. Plant enzymes operate over a broad pH range and work throughout the entire digestive tract, beginning in the upper stomach (unlike animal enzymes, which work only in the small intestine). And with 13 different enzymes, OmniZimes offers the broadest range of enzymes available — making it the most potent enzyme product on the market today.
OmniZimes…
–Are derived from 100% pure plant based sources
–Contain 13 different enzymes in a pH balanced blend
–Offer the broadest range of enzymes available
–Maintain greater potency than most commonly used digestive enzymes
–Work for all diets — from raw or living food to standard American diet (SAD)
–Remain active throughout the stomach and intestines
–Are available in powder or vegan capsule
–Easy to travel with; Require no refrigeration
Suggested Protocol
Take 1 capsule of OmniZimes with meals and snacks. OmniZimes may be taken on an empty stomach to aid the body’s detoxification process. If you’re at all skeptical about the effectiveness of these digestive enzymes, we challenge you to take OmniZimes with each meal for 3 to 5 days, and then stop taking them for 1 to 2 days. You’ll immediately notice the difference as your body returns to what you will now realize is its compromised state of poor digestion and energy.
What’s in OmniZimes?
PROTEASE aids in the digestion and utilization of dietary proteins. Vital for muscle and tissue repair, as well as proper functioning of the immune system.
AMYLASE digests starch and carbohydrates. Works with protease to stimulate immune system. Works with lipase to digest fragments of viruses and to reduce inflammation and infection.
BROMELAIN breaks down protein, fights inflammation, and reduces swelling. May speed the recovery of injuries and swelling. May speed the recovery of injuries and swelling resulting from athletics, childbirth, and surgery.
CELLULASE digests fiber cellulose into smaller units, including D-glucose. Helps remedy digestive problems such as malabsorption. Very important supplement since the human body cannot produce it on its own.
LIPASE digests fats and aids weight control, cardiovascular health, and proper gall bladder function.
CERECALASE (a special blend of phytase, hemicellulase, and betaglucanase) increases the breakdown of dietary fibers and the assimilation of vitamins and minerals that are typically difficult to absorb.
GLUCOAMYLASE breaks down carbohydrates, specifically polysaccharides.
MALT DIASTASE digests maltose, malt, and grain sugars. May help relieve environmental sensitivities and allergies.
ALPHA-GATACTOSIDASE digests simple carbohydrates like galactose and sucrose, which are readily metabolized for energy production. Decreases flatulence associated with the consumption of raffinose-containing vegetables like broccoli and cabbage.
LACTASE digests the milk sugar lactose. Extremely useful for individuals suffering from lactose intolerance. May benefit those suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders.
PEPTIDASE FP breaks down peptide chains and fights inflammation.
PROTEASE 3.0 aids in the digestion and utilization of dietary proteins. Vital for muscle and tissue repair, as well as proper functioning of the immune system. Remains viable at pH 3.0, so digestion of proteins continues throughout digestive tract.
PAPAIN (sulfite free) is similar to chymotrypsin, a protein-digesting enzyme naturally produced by the human body. Treats chronic diarrhea, celiac disease, and gastrointestinal discomfort due to intestinal parasites.
Other ingredients include vegetable cellulose, rice brain, and water.
