Fa Ta Lai Jone / Andrographis Paniculata (Fah-talai-jone)
The herb Andrographis paniculata is used since ancient times in Ayurveda and Siddha medicine. In the Thai households it is also well known as a very effective and important natural medicine. The herb contains substances that have analgesic effects (pain killer), antithrombotic (prevents blood clots), hypoglycemic (low blood sugar levels), anti-inflammatory and antipyretic (fever reducing) effects. Another of its important physiological effect is to stop the uncontrolled cell growth caused by viruses and therefore it has considerable success in improving the condition of patients with HIV.
